We recognise the significant environmental challenge posed by landfill waste, particularly the disposal of MDF furniture. Due to its chemical composition, MDF cannot be readily incinerated, contributing to the estimated 2 to 3 million desks and furniture items sent to landfills annually. As part of our commitment to sustainability, we implement a rigorous furniture repurposing program. First, items in good condition are offered for sale through our showroom and online used furniture section.

Second, we donate furniture to local charities, learning centers, and community projects. While a small fraction inevitably reaches landfills, we are dedicated to minimising this impact. We partner with manufacturers who share our environmental values. For example, Hawk Office Furniture utilises a biomass heating boiler to process waste board and cutting materials, and powers their facility with solar energy. This demonstrates a shared commitment to a sustainable future.
